The Sign We Couldn't Miss
It seemed like we'd never find a doctor in this small town.
But God's love was with us...

In this article:
My husband, Gil, and I had finally reached Perry,
Georgia, a quaint little
town west of Savannah.
We’d been RVing for weeks, touring the South and exploring the cities and towns
tucked along the way. Gil guided us through the tree-lined streets, dotted with
boutiques and charming restaurants. There was so much to see! I looked over and
shot Gil a smile. But he was grimacing. "Gil, what’s wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing," he said, flatly. "I’m fine."
I could tell by his clenched jaw and stiff grip on the wheel
that he was in pain. "Gil, what’s the matter?" I pressed.
"Well…I don’t want to ruin our trip, but my arthritis
has been flaring up for the past few hours. I should probably get to a
doctor," he admitted.

A doctor! I knew he had to be in severe pain to mention
that. Gil was always so strong. Where would we find help out here though? We’d
never been to Perry, and the nearest hospital or clinic could be miles away. I
kept my eyes peeled while Gil steered us down the main road in town.
We passed a hardware store, an ice-cream shop, a
library…everything but a clinic or hospital. It had been almost an hour and now
we were in the neighboring town of Warner
Robins. Every second that passed, my worry grew.
"The pain is getting worse," said Gil. Lord, please send us a sign to
let us know you’re with us, I prayed aloud.
Just then, we drove by a church. A sign with large, bold
letters stood out front, almost as if it were calling out to us. Gill and I saw
it at the same time. "Are you looking for a sign from God? Well here it
is." Gil let out a loud, hearty laugh, and so did I. I felt my worry
disappear. I could tell Gil was less tense too.
Just down the street, there stood another sign. One for a
walk-in clinic.
--A Publication of Guidepost
I liked this Guidepost
posting because for people like myself and many others run into pain issues, in
fact, I have been dealing with new struggles with this nerve / disc disease, it
takes a great deal out of me just to be able to keep up with the Christian
sites and mail, although, I love every minute of it, I may not be able to do as
much as I would like, But I know that God is always with me. Another fact, if
you have not read it before, I was real sick for a while, couldn’t much get out
of bed much less move well. It was time for the paper to be posted and I have a
few people that help me manage things if I get real sick.
The question
was `what was going to be done` because they only have so much access to the
data, for your security the thousands of emails and personal information is not
under one fire wall but two and high security programs. I said Ok “why don’t we
post a few papers that I sent you from different writers (Ministers), and that
will be that.” Hens Golden Nuggets took on a whole new face as an addition to
better Tomorrows.
The Lord and I
had a little conversation about the papers; a question came to me, “Why does
all the work have to be written by you?” Good question, for none of this was
ever about me, my name, even the Better Tomorrows which has been in operation
since 1985 name. When we listen to God our whole perspective can be altered
when we stay Trusting Him and not on ourselves.
Lord, it is in you we trust, help us to never loose sight of your Loving guidance,
Grace and Love for us, We Love you presence in our hearts, mind and heart………
